
Battery
► To open the battery compartment, place your thumb on the recess,
press down and slde forward.
► Insert the suppled 9V battery payng attenton to the plus (+) and
mnus (-) poles. If the battery s nserted n the wrong drecton, the
battery cover wll not close.
Low Battery Life Alert
► When the battery s low, the yellow LED wll blnk contnuously and
the devce wll contnue workng untl the battery des.
Turning On the Device
► Before turnng on the devce, hold the devce away from metallc
objects ncludng your watch and jewelry. Turn on the devce by
sldng the swtch to ether audo or vbraton alert.
► When the devce s turned on a long beep wll be heard and the
green LED wll llumnate. At start up, the red LEDs wll lght up for a
short perod of tme ndcatng battery lfe status and then they wll go
o. Durng operaton, the red LEDs wll ndcate the sgnal level or the
senstvty level.
Audio or Vibration Alert
► The devce operates on the prncple of moton. The devce wll not
produce a sgnal when held stll over a metal. You must move the
devce over the metal n order for the devce to detect t. When the
devce detects metal, t wll produce an audo or vbraton alert
accordng to your mode selecton. The rate of the pulsng audo or
vbratons wll ncrease as the devce gets closer to the metallc object
and t wll decrease as the devce s moved away. When the devce s n
audo mode the red LEDs wll also llumnate accordng to the sgnal
strength provdng vsual warnng as well.
Earphone Jack
► For a slent operaton or to use the devce more convenently n
nosy envronments, nsert the optonal earphone jack here.
